have you been scammed? i think scamming is the worst and yet effective way to attract customers and it's a fact. now you're wondering.. well here's my story.
tuesday of this week i received a message from a company for an initial job interview which is only 20mins away from my place, i confirmed. i arrived 30mins before the schedule. i told myself, its ok i might be done before 2pm. upon the initial interview, i've been asked if i dont have any other appointment and if i am available until 5pm and i said i am available. (i don't want to mess up anyway). Upon the "orientation" the HR told us that they are a Marketing company and i was puzzled. (This can't be... oh noh i came here for a job and not to sell products) so as the Trainer continues, the compensation discussed to us far better as a good start of the orientation. What was the deal? Well for these are the following positions and salary:
Supervisor = P16,000(fix salary) + 8,000 allowance /mo. upon 6months probation.
Secretary = P9, 880 (might increase) + 8,000 allow /mo. upon 6months probation.
Trainor = P10, 000 (might increase) + 8,000 allow /mo. upon 6months probation.
O.J.T. (15days) = P3, 650 + 1,750(bonus) = P5, 400
O.J.T. the training is only 15days, and the company will give you allowance for that. If ever you finish your training and performed well before 15days you will have a bonus of P1, 750 for a total of P5, 400..
from 20+ applicants down to 8 - feeling lucky and I was still there? amazed by the great compensation? i was too. the HR told me i passed the final interview and i am qualified to start the basic training program. I was excited! ...but!!
the basic training program is the ONE TIME EXPERIENCE of selling a Water Purifier worth P2, 988. the examiners assigned by the trainer will accompany us for the purpose of our C.I. as in 'character investigation' and has a 8pm deadline to sell the product.. i mean, HUH!? Character what!? i think we are making mistakes here.. i am an applicant and not a debtor. it was already 4pm and i was quite interested but i made up my mind that i am not going to sell the product but just tell my mom to buy it for me because every household in our village has a water dispenser. (Susme, Ang C.I. nila para tignan kung may kakayanang ibenta ng applicant ung purifier na un at hindi para samahan makabenta ng purifier na yan. tsk tsk )
the 2 ladies had been questioning me about my strategy, i told them that no one will buy the product and I cannot even afford to buy it. they said that you have to sell it if you really want to get the job. they taught me how to land in a good strategy. They waited for 2 hours but arrived in a not-going-to-pursue-application and umuwi-na-kayo-ate, I accompanied them but the trainer told me upon heading village gate that you are the only person who rejected the deal and i told them, its ok. (who cares? I don’t want to waste my time looking for buyers and beat the deadline before 8pm. Duh! - Scammers!)
